Located in The Landing area at Disney Springs, Cookes of Dublin delivers excellent food and even better vibes. Irish cuisine is known for certain hearty signature dishes (cottage pie or fish and chips anyone?) with a stick-to-your-ribs quality. You’ll find dishes you’d expect, sprinkled with a few surprises, on this menu. This spot is open for lunch and dinner and offers mid-range meals that start at around $14.99.
Cookes of Dublin is located next door to Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant. Cookes of Dublin is a family-owned restaurant that strives to create a homey and authentic atmosphere that makes Guests feel welcome and transports them to Temple Bar in Dublin, Ireland.
You’ll find indoor and outdoor seating options available, so you can chill out inside or bask in the Florida sunshine on the patio. The inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated with a mid-century pub/diner hybrid feel, with lots of tile and large black and white photographs of Irish landscapes, seascapes, and people. I love the quintessential shamrock green tile accents around this restaurant and the old-fashioned chalkboard-style menus in this quick-service eatery.
This menu is pretty typical, divided into entrees, sides, kids’ menu options, desserts, and beverages. Though you might not think of burgers as Irish food, this eatery has a blend of Irish and American classics, so you’ll find a mouthwatering assortment of burgers to choose from. The Dubliner Burger, Cookes Classic Battered Burger, and the BBQ Dream Burger are all yummy choices.
My favorite of the options is the Dubliner Burger. This entrée is built from a juicy grilled sirloin burger with Cooke’s gourmet ketchup (you are going to love it!), Dubliner Cheese, garlic mayonnaise, and fresh mixed greens. The burger is served with a side of chips. It’s the little details that make this menu so delicious. A quick glance at TripAdvisor reviews will show numerous comments about the unique and delicious Cookes ketchup and the flavorful garlic mayonnaise. Even if you aren’t a condiment person, order these on the side instead of leaving them off altogether, you’ll want to try them.
My runner-up option in the burger department is the BBQ Dream Burger, made with a Jameson Irish Whiskey barbecue beef burger garnished with an onion ring, Dubliner Cheese, and arugula, and served with chips. Both these large and filling burgers come in at only $14.99, and each provides an absolutely delicious bang for your buck!
Now, on to the more traditional Irish offerings this Disney Springs Restaurant has in store! If you want to dine from an authentic Dublin menu, the Famous Fish and Chips and the House-made Pie of the Day are staples you should try. You’ll see many patrons dining on Fish and Chips, so that’s a good indication that this is a nearly unmissable menu option at this quick-service spot.
Especially if you are not spending time in World Showcase in EPCOT on your vacation, I suggest parties snag an order of Famous Fish and Chips to share or choose it as an entree. Flaky beer-battered fish, drizzled with malt vinegar (if you choose) with a side of crunchy fresh chips (French fries) is hard to beat and only $14.99. Flavors of the House-made Pie of the Day switch out regularly, ensuring you can try a new dish each time you visit.
Other entrée options like the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, the Southern Style Chicken Sandwich, and the Tender Grilled Chicken Sandwich are yummy options, but I’d be handed not to talk about one of my menu favorites — the Hog in a Box. This menu item provides a lot of delicious flavors for only $14.99 and pairs slow-roasted pork shoulder with tender baby potatoes and an herby stuffing, flavored with sage and sweet onion. This dish is topped off with tender caramelized onions and a sweet apple sauce. Talk about a unique and delicious meal with expertly paired flavors — the Hog in a Box is so delicious!
If you are traveling with a little one, they can order a kid’s version of the Fish and Chips ($9.99), a Cheeseburger and Chips, ($9.99), or Chicken and Chips ($9.99). Sides of Crushed Garden Peas, Double Battered Onion Rings, and Dubliner Irish Cheese & Bacon Dip are also all great choices. My advice? Do not skip on the Irish Cheese & Bacon Dip — it’s melty and delicious and only $5.00!
As hard as it is to do with a menu this yummy — save room for dessert! You can snag a Mixed Fruit Cup, a Homemade Raspberry & White Chocolate Blondie, or a Homemade Tray-Baked Chocolate & Marshmallow Brownie to end your meal. Each of these desserts are only $6 — you cannot make a bad choice. Pair your dessert with a locally roasted coffee or tea for just $3.00.
Happy shopping and dining, friends!
